Ignacio Bike Week: The Four Corners Motorcycle Rally has been based in Ignacio, Colorado, since 1993 where the town, residents and members of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe along with Ben Nighthorse Campbell have always invited bikers to visit and stay over the Labor Day weekend.
Ignacio is located in the Heart of Southwestern Colorado. Named after one of the great Ute Indian Chiefs who led his people through many difficult times, the Town of Ignacio is rich with cultural diversity from Indian, Caucasian, and Hispanic backgrounds.
Incorporated in 1913 and situated along the Los Pinos River in a long narrow valley facing the mountains, Ignacio still has no stoplights and thus, a strong small town personality for the 700 residents. The walkable center of eclectic shops and hometown restaurants has a strong southwestern flavor. There is lodging, camping, and a first-class recreation center.
Ignacio's central location provides access to other areas of interest to bikers including Durango, the beautiful San Juan mountains, the deserts of New Mexico, and archeological sites of Mesa Verde. It can easily be said that the best riding starts in Ignacio.
During Ignacio Bike Week, the town fills up with motorcycles lining the whole of downtown as friends meet in the Chamber's Beer Garden, participate in the many rally events held in town, or shop at the special rally vendors and retail stores.
